Before half-term, our Pre-School pupils celebrated Chinese New Year. Charlotte and Larrisa kindly brought in some lovely traditional decorations and they decorated the reception area and made spring rolls ready for their Chinese New Year party. Throughout the week the children used Chinese paper to experiment with Chinese writing, counted out gold coins into play-dough, used glitter for mark making and made a Chinese dragon. Lots of expressive dancing and music making took place to Chinese music, using masks that the children made. What a busy and wonderful week they all had celebrating the ‘Year of the Ox’!
