30 March 2022
On Saturday, our I3, J1 and J2 pupils were invited to take part in a Hockey Festival, hosted on the Senior School and Sixth Form hockey pitches. The weather was glorious and there was a lovely atmosphere.
The I3 and J1 pupils were the first to take part, completing a total of 3 games, which gave them the opportunity to showcase their skills, learned either at our Wednesday Breakfast Hockey Club or within curriculum time. The pupils were energetic, skilful and worked well as a team. It was pleasing to see pupils as young as 6 so accomplished and unafraid to get stuck in!
For the second session, the pupils were in different teams and joined by the J2s to play against St. Mary’s Hall, Stonyhurst. Again, they played a total of three games. It was friendly and enjoyable with beaming smiles on the faces of all who took part; a pleasure to see.
A big thank you to our Senior School pupils who supported the morning by serving refreshments/umpiring and encouraging our pupils, as part of their DofE award.
Thank you as always to our wonderfully supportive parents/family members. We hope you enjoyed the festival.
Well done to everyone who took part; we are very proud of you all!
