Kirkham Grammar School Drama Department loved their action-packed trip to New York City.
We stayed in Times Square and enjoyed four days of drama and sight-seeing. We received an acting workshop on physical characterisation from a working professional Broadway actor and met a real Rockette during our backstage tour of the Radio City Music Hall.
We greeted Lady Liberty, visited the highline, saw the heights of New York from the One World Observatory, walked through Grand Central Station, payed respects at the 9/11 memorial, took a stroll on the Brooklyn Bridge and waltzed through Central Park.
We enjoyed food in American portions at various diners, the Hard Rock Cafe, Bubba Gump Shrimp and dinner with show at Ellen's Stardust Diner.
By far the best part of our trip however has to be the phenomenal Broadway shows we got to see... Wicked and Hamilton!
Great shopping occurred and ultimately bounds of fun was the lasting result of the entire trip!
