Today at 2.30pm, our annual Founders’ Day Commemoration Service would have been held at St Michael’s Parish Church. However, for the second year running, this is unable to take place due to the current situation.
Founders’ Day is an occasion on which the school community reflects and gives thanks for its long and distinguished history, whilst in particular remembering those who, over the years, have been supporters and benefactors of the school;
Thomas Clifton, Isabel Birley, Cuthbert Clifton, Thomas Westby, John Parker, Thomas Langtree, Thomas Hesketh, Arthur Greenacres, Henry Colborn, James Barker, William Grimbaldeston.
Below are a few 'throwback' photographs from our Founders’ Day Service in 2019 which saw the Venerable Michael Everitt, Archdeacon of Lancaster, lead our commemoration service.
