This evening, our Kirkham Grammar Upper School Speech Day was held in the Summerlee Hall which saw pupils, parents, staff, governors and the wider school community gather together for one of the highlights of the academic year. We were also delighted to welcome The Master Draper, Thomas Harris, to school for tonight's event.
The evening began with the school hymn before a few words from our Chair of Governors, Mrs Lorraine Wareing.
Mrs Parkinson followed with her Head's Report before the audience were entertained with a musical interlude from talented Upper Sixth pupil, Siôned Jones-Blanco.
Sheba Raza, Old Kirkhamian, Solicitor and current member of the KGS Board of Governors, delivered an inspiring address which included a message to the pupils encouraging them to make the most of their time at KGS. Sheba then presented this year's prizes and trophies.
The Captains of School, Jack Wigglesworth and Millie Homan gave a vote of thanks and guests then enjoyed refreshments in the Recital Hall.
Thank you to all of the parents and members of our wider school family who came along to join in celebrating our pupils' achievements!
