As part of their History topic, the J4 children have been looking at the types of jobs that Victorian Children had to do. They worked in groups and researched all the different types of jobs and then gave some wonderful presentations to an audience. They voted that the worst job was being a Coal Mine Drawer where you had a chain round the waist from the age of four and you had to drag the coal up and down tracks. Towards the end of this half term, the J4 children are going to experience being a 'Workhouse Apprentice' in a cotton mill.........more news to follow soon!
