23 March 2021
Over the last two weeks of this term, Kirkham Grammar School are raising money for 'Marie Curie' who believe everyone living with a terminal illness should be able to get the most from the time they have left, however hard that may sometimes feel. Their frontline nurses, hospices and free support line help terminal patients through their final years, months, days and hours of life – whether they have coronavirus, or any illness which they're likely to die from. Their bereavement service will be there for the people they leave behind. Please check out the website below to see the wonderful service that Marie Curie provide and how your donations will be used to help individuals and their families.

We know that during the last twelve months, charities have struggled as they haven't been able to fundraise as normal. However, this hasn't stopped them doing the amazing work that they do.
The following fundraising initiatives will be taking place over the next two weeks with all profits going to Marie Curie;
-Selling special biscuits and cakes in the dining hall
-Selling daffodil badges to pupils. (We ask for a minimum donation of £1)
-Individual year group activities
-'Wear Something Yellow Day' on Friday 26 March 2021. This can be a yellow accessory – a hair scrunchy, scarf, socks and we ask that a donation is made to the charity page we have set up details of which are below:

-Selling hand-made masks and scrunchies
For all donations made, either online or in a form collection, pupils will be automatically entered into a draw for a bumper basket of Easter goodies donated by local businesses and Kirkham Grammar School staff as a way of saying 'thank you'.
